Even before the full-scale phase of the Russian-Ukrainian war, when the construction of glampings was just gaining popularity in Ukraine, the company Modern Wooden Houses began searching for ideas for developing a project of an inexpensive dome house that would have an ascetic set of everything necessary, but at the same time would be quite functional, comfortable, and, if possible, autonomous, a place to spend the night for tourists, at any time of the year, traveling through the picturesque corners of Ukraine. Of course, now tourism in Ukraine is dangerous, because of the war, but the projects of domes with a diameter of about 6 m, which we offered for glampings, attract the attention of our visitors and are discussed as a purchase option quite often today.

There are several reasons for the popularity of small, ascetic and functional dome houses, as it turned out: a) Fast construction. With a foundation and ready-made bent-glued beams of the frame, the house can be assembled in just a couple of months; b) Energy efficiency. Considering the small area and energy efficiency of this project, such houses can be easily provided with everything necessary and made energy independent, which in modern Ukrainian realities is a big advantage; c) Environmental friendliness All components of the house are natural materials, so it is 100% environmentally friendly.

What kind of project do we offer: A dome house with a diameter of 6.5 m has a useful area of ​​about 40 m2. 30 m2 are located on the first floor. Here is a kitchen-studio, a recreation area with a bed and shelves under the stairs for various things, and a convenient bathroom with a shower. On the second floor there is an open mezzanine, where you can place an additional recreation area with a sofa bed or furnish an improvised office.

Due to the small diameter, we slightly extended the hemisphere shape upwards, giving it a comfortable height on the second floor, as a result of which the house turned out to be a little exotic and extravagant. The reed facade of the house also makes this solution very successful. It enhances the useful characteristics of sound insulation and energy saving, and also emphasizes the naturalness of the design, which suits any natural landscape. In general, the project turned out to be very harmonious and beautiful.
