Projects of houses of our company is a catalog of ready-made standard solutions adapted to 4 main technologies of wooden construction.
Selecting a project by construction technology
In addition, we have a good collection of projects for baths and gazebos, and one innovative section of domed houses with original layouts. Every year this collection is replenished with new fresh ideas, which we willingly share and offer as standard projects as a turnkey solution. Most of them are realized in reality - these are real residential buildings. Some have become very popular, asked about and asked for, some have remained conceptual ideas, but fully adapted and ready to use.
Determine the required set of drawings
What contains draft design
For the construction of log and frame houses, only a draft design is sufficient, the content of which includes the following main sections:

However, for a house made of timber, one more design section is needed - "Wooden Structures". This is due to the fact that the corner cup in the log is slaughtered at the facility, and this node is absent in the frame technology. In order to cut corner joints in square wall beams in production, and a kit ready for immediate assembly arrived at the construction site, special equipment is used, the software of which is able to sort the parts of the house and cut them according to the project. More about the content of the section "Wooden structures" Herein the table"Wall elements specification"
Often, other design sections are attached to the set of drawings - Architectural solution (draft design):
- - section - Reinforced concrete structures (foundation),
- - section - Water, Sewerage,
- - section - Heating, Air conditioning,
- - section - Internal Power Supply and Lighting,
- - General layout of the site within the specified limits.
These are sections of the working draft that can be attached at the request of the client or if necessary, in the case of turnkey construction, as well as when studying geology and geodesy data. This list is not included in the cost of the preliminary design and is paid additionally according to the design contract.
What is important to know about foundation types
Foundation design is one of the key sections, which is compiled based on the type of soil, the geology of the area, as well as the mass and structure of the building. That is why this section is being developed by a design engineer and an architect (designer) jointly. Usually, to solve typical problems, three types of foundations are most often used:
| Typical foundation designs | |
|---|---|

1. Monolithic slab - often used in the construction of small frame houses; |

2. Tape-monolithic foundation - in most cases, including timber and log houses; |

3. Shallow columnar foundation - suitable for terraces, outbuildings, gazebos, bath pergolas and other light, small-sized buildings. |
It is worth noting that in special cases, designers and architects can use combinations or mixed foundation options to ensure the strength of the foundation of the structure in specific conditions. For example, on the coastline of a reservoir, it is necessary to have a pile-strip foundation in order to reach and strengthen in a stable layer of soil that is not subject to erosion from floods, and a monolithic slab + strip foundation form a bowl, which is used in relief areas where basements are placed.

Up to 100 m2 up to 200 m2 and over 200 m2
However, in our opinion, it is more convenient to sort projects by area, since any of them can be easily used for each of the above technologies, with the exception of domed houses, due to their features.

If the layouts are dominated by open space and a minimum of partitions. this reduces the consumption of wood and has a positive effect on the cost of construction. This is a characteristic feature for designing small houses where the number of residents does not exceed 2-4 people.
If there are more family members or a house is planned for several families, then the number of rooms in the plans will increase, the number of partitions will increase accordingly, the consumption of materials and the volume of wood used per 1m2 of area will increase.
Style choice and design "secrets"
The design of wooden houses is a unique and multifaceted world of excellent ideas that can be embodied in different styles. Here you will find both modern projects and classic ones, in the Finnish style, in Hoof-House style, half-timbered, Russian and, of course, in Ukrainian styles. Each of them is original and has its own characteristics.
Finnish house projects
Finnish projects necessarily have a sauna. The rest is placed compactly and pragmatically.
Glued laminated timber predominates here as a wall material. They also have rather large canopies and terraces.
Log cabin projects
A log house is still a popular and beautiful solution. In log house projects, you can see both traditional elements, such as a porch, veranda, overhangs, shutters, as well as modern trends in the form of glazed bay windows, loggias, attics with a straightforward, minimalistic, but at the same time complex design of facades and roofs.
Dome projects and innovative technologies
The development of innovative technologies in the woodworking industry today has made it possible to expand the possibilities of design, which a few years ago was considered conceptual due to the technical impossibility of its implementation. The use of a non-rectilinear wooden structure using curved glued beams and trusses is widely used today in projects of country houses, cultural and entertainment, industrial and general purposes.
Modern European concepts often contain elements of transformation, moving away from stable familiar geometry. With the help of glued massive and composite wood, interesting installations, arched and metamorphic facades, domes and much more are made. The company "Modern Wooden Houses" makes every effort to develop this area of architectural design in Ukraine. We offer projects for domed houses, houses with arched roofs and half-timbered houses, wanting to bring some variety to the usual range of classic solutions.
This direction is only developing in our country, and individual design prevails in this area. Be one of the first to own the architecture of the future with us.
Company "Modern wooden houses" Ukraine, Kyiv with best wishes and fresh ideas for you.
