Wooden Bridges

Bridges are – constructions, most associated with all kinds of human activities. There is even a saying that bridges are more important than houses and more holy than the church because unite and benefit equally to all.

Since ancient times, people used natural crossings through the barriers, whether of water or ravines, and fallen trees served as bridges, stone passages, etc. Later, people began to cut down trees specifically for simple primitive crossings - so there appeared first wooden bridges.

Wooden bridges were very popular in Switzerland especially development of building of wooden bridges was in XVIII century.

In Central Europe, still exist and work about 200 wooden bridges. Many bridges were covered by a tiled roof and arrange awning for protection from bad weather. The oldest bridge is - Covered wooden bridge across the Rhine and the Chapel Bridge in Lucerne, which were built in the XIV century.

In the modern world, the use of wood in building of bridges was a new development. Application of new technologies in the wood such as laminated wood and large-span laminated wooden structures, allow you to apply effective design solutions in the building of wooden bridges.

Our company is one of the few in Ukraine, produces large-span laminated wooden structures: the maximum length is 24m, the maximum height of pressing is2,5 m; width of the building from 90mm to 220mm, as well as the bent-laminated building with a maximum radius of 7m. It gives us the opportunity to build bridges of arched designs that perform both practical and decorative functions. This bridge will be a decoration of your land plot.
