The choice of the type of construction technology depends not only on the availability and size of allocated funds. Each person has his own inner world, temperament, lifestyle and thinking, and it is important that nothing annoys or depresses you during the rest.
The atmosphere inside the room, its style and the very process of soaring and relaxing are sensations that are perceived in a complex, and they are different for different people or companies.
To prevent this process from becoming routine, here is a description of several of the most common types of construction for which a separate place is allocated on your site. And so, what do you like more? ->...
Construction of a log house
The heart of any Russian bath is a steam room
In the traditional steam room, not far from the entrance, they placed an incandescent stone stove, and on the other side a tub with cold water and a ladle. Before the procedures, the walls of the steam room, brooms and shelves were wetted.
When the temperature reached the desired value, the heated steam drenched those present, and the aromatic substances that the wood contains had a healing effect, penetrating through the pores of the skin and breathing. Stones for the furnace were selected without cracks and delaminations, so that they could withstand sudden changes in temperature.
Sometimes, instead of stones, chipped cast iron or cast iron cores were used. To regulate the humidity in the steam room, cast iron or stones were carefully sprinkled with water. Three rows of regiments were arranged along the perimeter of the walls, one above the other, with steps and a headboard in three tiers. The hottest thing was on the top shelf, and on the bottom it was possible to wash.

The traditional design always has a dressing room so that the air is heated and cooled gradually, and there is a place for clothes and rest. Above the shop with inventory in the wall there was a small window for natural light in the steam room.
This is a "white sauna"
When building a wooden bath, the method of loading fuel and the type of ventilation are taken into account. Loading fuel into the heater can be both from the front (from the steam room) and from the back (from the rest room).
The first option is convenient for those who want to regulate the temperature in the steam room without leaving the steam room. If the room allows, and the flow of air draft is properly organized, then while soaring you will enjoy the quiet soothing rumble of fire in the stove.
Fresh air flows naturally as it passes through the relaxation room, gradually heated, and circulates inside the steam room when heated. This is a general, open air circulation system

The plan in this picture provides for loading fuel into the furnace from the rest room.
This option is convenient because you do not fill the steam room with firewood or other fuel and do not clutter up the space of an already small room.
The influx of air draft into the stove air is organized from the adjacent room and does not enter the steam room. Air circulation in the steam room occurs independently of other rooms and is carried out with the help of special vents at the bottom and top of the wall, and they are usually closed during the soaring.
This is a closed or independent circulation system.
Construction of a bath in black - scheme

The absence of a chimney is not accidental here |
The lovers of the “black bathhouse” arranged a heating stove in the middle of the steam room and made an open fire in the heater without an exhaust duct, smoke and soot simply went out into small windows at the top under the ceiling of the steam room and filled the steam room, settling on the inner walls and those present, making them black from soot.
Despite the presence of an open fire, the high humidity of the air and the skill of experienced regulars of this type of "recreation" did not allow the situation to develop into a danger to health and construction. With such a device, due to open fire and high humidity, there is a danger of carbon monoxide emission.
Therefore, the adoption of this type of procedure without the presence of a person of certain skills is not recommended. At the end of warming up or steaming, which is called “with smoke”, the vacationers washed.
In ancient times, ordinary people rarely had soap, so they prepared “lye” in advance. This is a tincture of rain water with wood ash. Rinsing from a barrel of lye, people washed off the soot using a “tincture” of ash, then poured themselves with clean water.
A bath in a log house will appeal to everyone who has a conservative and mature mindset. Here you will feel that time has stopped and there are things that remain the same today as hundreds of years ago.

A classic example of rounded and chopped logs with a veranda and dressing room
The construction of a log bath is carried out on strip, columnar and monolithic foundations. The logs are placed in a log house, and then the walls are caulked at the places where the lunar groove fits, so that the heat does not erode through the junctions of the crowns. Otherwise, there is no need to insulate the log house more than this, since the tree itself is a wonderful heater, however
the place for the stove in the steam room is well thermally insulated, enclosing with stone or metal trim. In the insulator layer there is foil, a layer of basalt insulation, heat reflectors and non-combustible panels or a sheet thermal insulator.
Construction of a bath from glued beams
This is a relatively recent Finnish invention based on the traditional Finnish sauna, which features a dry heated steam room. The air temperature here can reach 100 degrees. and more. The walls of the steam sauna are sheathed with clapboard, and the entrance to the steam room is usually located through the washing or shower room.

The internal structure of the steam room is not much different from the Russian one, but it implies a higher level of comfort, the presence of a washing room, a locker room and a relaxation room and a pool.
The absence of windows in the steam sauna is compensated by internal lighting, and ventilation vents are provided in the opposite wall of the steam room from the entrance, which are closed during steaming.
A bathhouse made of glued laminated timber (meaning the structure itself) needs less maintenance than a log bath. Dry glued laminated timber has a stable shape and is not subject to twisting and cracking, while linden or alder wooden lining retains a pleasant aromatic microclimate and a high level of comfort. Sometimes shelves, benches and headrests are made of Canadian white oak, teak or other precious woods that do not contain resin.
When designing a sauna, a washing room can be combined with a swimming pool, and in a budget version with a dressing room. If the sauna is planned to be used in winter, it is advisable to provide for a dressing room or vestibule.
If the sauna is located with access to the courtyard or not far from the summer pool, then it is advisable to provide a terrace for relaxing or barbecue. In the Finnish sauna, if desired, you can also raise the humidity by wetting the brooms, placing a tub of water and wetting the stones in the stove.
But if a “steam room” is planned, in the literal sense of the word, in a building made of glued laminated timber, then the steam room must be thermally and waterproofed from the main wall beam, with a special layer of foil, insulation and vapor barrier.
A bathhouse made of glued laminated timber is the choice of progressive pragmatic and active people.
For those who appreciate unsurpassed quality, love comfort, who take the best from the past and the present, for those who combined the customs of wooden construction and improved living conditions with the help of technological means, while maintaining the ecology and traditional nature of the environment of this type of recreation.
For the construction of glued beams, the same foundation options are chosen as for any log house.
Assembly of the wooden part is carried out from a set of glued beams pre-slaughtered at the production site according to the drawings of the working project logs from the "CD" section. Before pouring or laying the foundation, take into account the location of the bathrooms, water supply and drainage (Water.Channel section, IOS 2 and 3 of the design documentation), as well as the electrical panel if an underground cable is being run.
Electrical wiring is equipped in accordance with the relevant sections of the design documentation (IOS1, El.Snab., EM-power, El.Osv. sections of the technical documentation) of the working project of the bath in accordance with generally accepted building standards and European-style rules.
Frame bath in comparison with other types of construction
There are several advantages to this technology. It is quickly erected, has an affordable price and is suitable for any type of finish, both expensive and budget. In frame bath projects, glass partitions and walls are often used to separate the terrace, pool and recreation area. In the decoration of the washing room, zones decorated with mosaics, stained glass and mirrors look appropriate and beautiful.
If you apply creative thinking, then the construction of a frame bath and its decoration can be turned into a real highlight of your site and make it a wonderful place to relax.

Framework doesn't necessarily mean cheap. The use of mineral insulation, steam and wind protection allows you to create an energy-efficient, quickly heated building, and the combination of wood, glass and stone, including elements of marble, exotic woods and lighting - a unique modern premium design.
Stopping the choice on frame technology, you are no longer tied to any features of construction technology, you no longer need to keep your imagination within certain conditions associated with the difficult feasibility of certain tasks.

Any form of bath - dome, hi-tech, classic. Any combination - stone, wood, glass. Any of its types - Russian, Finnish, Turkish - are available for implementation in frame technology. True frame technology is versatile and energy efficient.
If you are a creative person and constantly strive for self-expression, tirelessly bring colors to the surrounding black and white world, if you are uncomfortable with the same standard forms and you know how to change it; if behind a seemingly ordinary person lies the creative soul of an artist and designer, then construction and decoration will be an interesting process of creation for you, at the end of which a bathing vacation will turn into an aesthetic pleasure, and not an ordinary washing of the body.
The construction of a frame bath is carried out mainly on a monolithic foundation slab with utility lines for engineering and technical support (electric wires, plumbing).

First, the main load-bearing beams are mounted and a wooden frame is assembled.

Then the partition frames are equipped with electrical wiring and plumbing, insulation is laid, which is closed with a membrane with an external and vapor barrier on the inside.

And then the partitions and external walls are sheathed with finishing material. Any base is suitable as a base cladding for frame walls - be it OSB or drywall, and a variety of materials can serve as a finish: block house, imitation of timber, composite, lining, tile, marble or even brick.
If possible, and space allows, a canopy for a pool or a small font is attached to the main body. This allows you to take contrast baths or get an additional relaxing effect after the sauna.
If you are planning to have a swimming pool, then this is the easiest way to do this, since the technical conditions, heat saving and versatility of the frame building allow you to place, hide and organize access to any ventilation unit or engineering equipment, as well as ensure the fire safety of heating equipment and boilers.
Terms for the construction of a frame bath are 2-6 months, depending on the equipment, material consumption and the quadrature of the building. In a turnkey package, finishing will take up a significant part of the time.
In pursuit
Despite all the efforts of mankind to make their work easier through the use of the benefits of technological progress, human life does not become easier.
Mechanisms, automation and digital technologies only increased the pace of life, devaluing manual labor and, as a result, instead of devoting more time to rest, people simply began to work more and more actively. But sooner or later the forces need to be restored. Every person needs rest. Some prefer active rest, some save their strength for a hard week.
But if you are one of those people who have long understood that these two types can be combined with the help of wellness bath procedures, then you are well aware of the prices for this type of service and have repeatedly thought about building a bath on your own site.
Choose your type of vacation, where you can stop time for a few moments, pause for a breather, find a secluded corner to be alone with yourself or not only with yourself, but even with someone else with whom you want to share these moments rest.
